About Canadian Premier Hunts

My name is Jason Silliker, and I am proud to be a 5th-generation guide with a deep passion for the outdoor experiences that only Mother Nature can offer. My guiding journey began at 18, in my hometown of Miramichi, New Brunswick, where I guided for fish, black bear, deer, and waterfowl. I did this full-time for several years before stepping away to build a career that could support my family and lifestyle. After recently semi-retiring from my professional business career, I've returned to my roots, rediscovering my passion for guiding and outfitting.

Guiding is in my blood. My father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all worked as fishing guides on the renowned Miramichi River in New Brunswick. In 2000, my late grandfather, Guy Silliker, was inducted into the Sportsman Hall of Fame at the Atlantic Salmon Museum in Doaktown, New Brunswick, a testament to the family legacy.

Growing up, I was instilled with a deep love for the outdoors and hunting. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many friends and clients to their first successful harvest—and, for many, to their largest harvest to date. I’ve also had the honour of taking several big game animals that others would consider a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. I firmly believe in ethical, fair-chase hunting, ensuring a responsible and respectful approach to every hunt.

I’ve been happily married to my wife, Tracey, for over 25 years. We have two sons, Ben (20) and Alex (16), who share our love for the outdoors. As I look ahead, I’m excited about the next chapter of this journey. My true joy now lies in outsmarting big game and waterfowl, and helping others achieve their own successful harvests.
